Take note of the following if you want to apply online to the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT):

How to Check TUT Application Status 2024-2025

After your application to the university has been reviewed, TUT will notify you of the outcome of the application. They will provide you with a link to check the status of your application for the 2024-2025 academic cycle.

  2. Click “Menu” at the top of the page
  3. Then, click on the “Study at TUT” tab
  4. Click on “I want to Study”
  5. Click on “Check your Admission Status”
  6. After that, enter your ID number
  7. Then, click on the “Submit” button to check TUT status for 2024

How to Apply TUT Online Application 2024: International Students

  • Visit www.tut.ac.za​ online application 2024 portal and download TUT Online Application form 2024 pdf.
  • You must complete all the needed sections in full.
  • Add all the relevant documents and send them back to us by E-MAIL to the addresses mentioned below
  • Forget all the sections that a school principal needs to sign.

  • After the approval by the academic department, the International Office will issue the student with an official Acceptance Letter and a Study Permit Letter.
  • Use the two letters to apply for a study permit at your home country’s nearest South African high commissioner or representative.
  • Apply for the study permit at least two months before departure.
  • All international exchange students who are nationals of visa-exempt countries, like the United States, the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, and Germany, etc., who plan to stay at the Tshwane University of Technology for three months or less, must obtain an endorsed visitors’ visa (Temporary Residence Permit) or a normal study permit.
  • A normal tourist visa is not sufficient to be registered and gain access to all university facilities.
  • The student’s final registration as an exchange student depends on the production of a valid visa obtained from the Immigration Official at the port of entry upon presentation of your Acceptance Letter

  • Do not proceed to the Tshwane University of Technology without the Study Permit or the endorsed visa.
  • The relevant academic department will finalize your travel arrangements to the University with you.

How to Register Online at TUT 2024-2025

TUT Online Registration 2023 opens on 20 January 2023 and closes on 10 February 2023 with late registration from 13 February 2023 until 17 February 2023 on which a penalty fee will be charged. Online registration at TUT is very easy, simple, and accurate. To register online, follow the steps below

  1. Go to www.tut.ac.za
  2. Click on SEARCH on top of the right-hand side of the TUT home page
  3. Then click on ONLINE REGISTRATION underneath the search box.
  4. Enter your student number and pin code under REGISTERED USERS.
  5. Click on Login.
  6. If your pin number is lost, click on Request a Pin and it will be e-mailed to you
  7. Click on Registration underneath the heading name: Student Web.
  8. Click on Rules and Regulations.
  9. Read the Memorandum of Agreement, scroll down, and click on Accept conditions.
  10. Click on Submit Registration underneath the heading name Rules and Regulations.
  11. Verify the Qualification name.
  12. Select your employment status.
  13. Click Save and Continue and then click on Add Subjects to registration.
  14. Select your subjects.
  15. Click on Save and Proceed.
  16. Verify the selected subjects. If you wish to change a subject, click Restart Process and start from the beginning.
  17. Click on Accept Registration.
  18. Proof of registration will be displayed on the screen
  19. Verify your proof of registration to ensure that you have registered the correct subject(s) for the current year

Please Note:

  • National Diploma Policing students may not register for more than two (2) subjects per semester.
  • You have to register at the beginning of the year for the year subjects, 1st Semester and 2nd
    Semester subjects).
