How Is Tut APS Score Calculated?
How Is Tut APS Score Calculated? The Admission Point Score (APS) system is used by South African universities to determine whether a student meets the minimum requirements for admission to a particular program. TUT also employs the APS method to determine candidates’ eligibility for various programmes, This system was developed to assist prospective students to check if they meet the minimum course entry. The APS system is based on an applicant’s performance in the National Senior Certificate (NSC) or an equivalent qualification. Using a point system, the NSC results are transformed into a numerical score, which is then used to compute the applicant’s APS score.

How Is Tut APS Score Calculated?
To calculate your APS score, add up the point values for your best six subjects, excluding Life Orientation. For example, if you achieved the following results:
English Home Language – achievement level 6 (7 points)
Mathematics – achievement level 5 (6 points)
Physical Science – achievement level 5 (6 points)
Life Sciences – achievement level 5 (6 points)
Accounting – achievement level 6 (7 points)
Business Studies – achievement level 6 (7 points)
Your APS score would be calculated as follows:
7 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 7 + 7 = 39
Therefore, your APS score would be 39.
Keep in mind that the minimum APS required for admission to a particular program may vary, so it is important to check the specific requirements for the program you are interested in.
