What Courses Does NSFAS Fund In 2024-2025?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) offers financial assistance to qualified students who want to attend an undergraduate qualification at a public university or college in South Africa. The program seeks to ensure that financially disadvantaged students have the opportunity to access higher education and improve their prospects for the future.
Students must also meet the financial eligibility requirements, which take into account things like household income and the number of dependents in the household, in addition to the course eligibility requirements. In order to continue to be eligible for future funding, students must also adhere to the academic progression criteria, which state that they must pass at least 50% of the courses for which they are registered.
