Does NSFAS Pay For Registration Fees?

Yes. Registration fees are often the first payment towards your tuition costs, and if you have been approved for financing by NSFAS, you will not be required to pay for the registration fee ahead. The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a government initiative that assists eligible students in paying for their education at a South African public institution or college.

NSFAS will only pay for registration fees if the student meets the financial and academic requirements. The amount that NSFAS covers for registration fees depends on the institution and course of study. It is crucial for students to maintain good academic performance and attendance to continue receiving NSFAS support.

To be considered for NSFAS funding, students must apply before the registration period, and late applications will not be accepted. While NSFAS does cover registration fees, there are eligibility criteria to meet, and the amount of funding available is limited.
